Step 1Unscrew and remove the lid of the pin vice. |
Step 2Remove the chuck shaft from inside the pin vice. |
Step 3There is a large opening at one end of the shaft and a small opening at the other. The large opening is pictured to the right. |
Step 4Insert the rooting needle, pointed end first, into the end with the largest opening. |
Step 5Push the needle through the chuck shaft until the pointed end comes out about ¾ of an inch beyond the shaft. |
Step 6Make sure that the needle is centered in the shaft. |
Step 7Replace the chuck shaft back into the pin vice handle. |
Step 8Thread the end back onto the pin vice handle. Now you're ready to root. |
